Train:
- Swiss train network is extremely reliable, fast and reasonably priced. Both Geneva and Zurich airports have train stations within them, making the journey very easy and fast. From Geneva Airport get a train to Riddes in 2h 05mins (change in Martigny, same platform); From Zurich airport 3h 15mins, change in Sion
- We can recommend a reliable local taxi company and help arrange your pick up from the station (50 CHF from Riddes, 110 CHF from Martigny, 150 CHF from Sion)
Car:
- Alternatively, we can give you tips on best driving routes from the UK. We regularly do the journey from the UK and have found the journey is only 3 hours longer vs. taking the plane door to door from central London (assuming no delays to plane travel)
- Do ensure your car (preferably a 4×4) is equipped with winter tyres and there is a set of snow chains in the boot. It is also worthwhile practising with the chains first at home if you have never fitted them before
