Summer Activities

The ski lifts are open from early July through to end of August enabling you to easily explore the mountains

Walking –the ancient irrigation streams (bisses) run high into the mountains. There are several marked trails with one right infront to the chalet.
Alternatively, challenge yourself by hiking up into the high mountains to reach one of the mountain restaurants with unsurpassed views. Or why not take a picnic or even supplies for a BBQ with you? (we can recommend a special area high up in the mountains when one is allowed to make fire)
Mountain biking – bring your own or rent one. Beginners can follow the ridges along the top of the mountains, after letting the liftbike you and your bike to the top! For more experienced cyclists there are a variety of trails to suit all levels including a challenging bike park down to Verbier
BBQ and sunbathing – on our large terrace and if the heat is too much, take a dip in the jacuzzi
Tennis – the village has one of the most beautiful courts anywhere, perched on the side of the mountain. Court is open 08.00-22.00, reservation at the tourist office, +41(0)273051600. There is also a tennis academy in the valley, just 25 mins drive from the chalet
Golf – Verbier is a 25 minute drive via the summer road and offers a beautiful 18 hole golf course at an altitude of 1600 meters. Each hole provides stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges, Combin, Rogneux and Mont-Blanc. There is also another golf course in the valley in Sion

Culture – Sion (25 min drive) is the capital town of Valais, with a lovely cobbled old town, some great restaurants and shopping,the ancient monastries of Château de Valère and Château de Tourbillon are situated on twin rock outcrops over looking Sion

Thermal baths – opposite mountain to la Tzoumaz, drive down to the valley and then up to Ovronnaz – 25 min drive from the chalet
Swimming pool – in the centre of the village, at the bottom of main Telecabine
Fishing in the local rivers and lakes is easily available
Playground – in the centre of the village, there is a trampoline, slide, etc. for kids

Tree zip wire adventure park in the Valley – fun for kids and grown ups alike. Just 30mins drive from the chalet. Explore a large park where there is a large kids playground, mini golf and even a tennis academy where tuition is possible as well as organised kids summer tennis camps

Or for the true thrill seekers even a zipline from the top of the Montfort
Kids steam train town – close to the border with France, c.1 hour drive from the chalet but a real hit with the kids
Aqua park – combine with a trip to the train village since just 300m away
Alpine zoo – an absolutely stunning little alpine zoo at the height of 1,500m; next door a huge pool with views to die for
Alpine swimming pool – 45 mins drive from the chalet
